Apprenticeship Application Process

When: Applications are available now.  

Applicant must obtain the application IN PERSON.

Time:

1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Testing:


On the day the application is picked up, the applicant will be required to complete (at their own expense) a Non-D.O.T. drug test at a Lourdes Occupational Health facility with negative results.

The applicant will also be given instructions on how to take the ASSET or COMPASS test administered by the local community or technical college. Applicants must complete the COMPASS test (at their own expense) with a score of: Writing Skills – 23, Reading Skills – 70, and Numerical Skills, Pre-Algebra – 51 or Algebra 26.

In order for the application to be considered valid and the applicant scheduled for an interview by the committee, the following requirements must be completed and in the possession of the committee within 60 days from the date the application was picked up.

1.Completed application for apprenticeship



2.Results of a current COMPASS test



3.Negative drug test result



4.High school transcripts or G.E.D test scores



5.Military Discharge (DD-214), if applicable



6.Birth certificate



7.Work history for the past 5 years



8.Personal and employer letters of recommendation
